The picture on the right shows a test cut being carried above sea level to set cutting speeds and ensure functionality before lowering the cutting rig inside the pile to cut it off below sea bed level.
The picture on the left is the same as the previous but shows the RGL two nozzle system which can double the speed of cut as well as providing a contingency jet should one fail whilst the cut is being carried out
Picture above shows the rig in the cutting position at the base of the pile 1 meter below sea bed level.
The photo below is a close up of the cut edge of the pile clearly showing the classic lines left in the surface by the abrasive water jet cutting process.
